Clinical Manager, Specialty Affairs,
MedTrakRx

While generic utilization in the traditional drug space has been widely accepted, generic utilization in the specialty drug space has struggled. Since specialty drugs are used to treat conditions such as multiple sclerosis, cancer, and HIV, patients and providers are often hesitant to accept the generic versions of life-sustaining drugs. Despite testing and evidence to the contrary, many fear generic options will be less efficacious. Acceptance of generic specialty medications is essential to achieving the goal of reducing costs without sacrificing quality.

Join us for a free webinar presented by Marly Arbuckle, R.Ph., CSP, Clinical Manager of Specialty Affairs at MedTrakRx. Marly will explain the benefits of generics to the specialty pharmacy industry and explore how specialty pharmacies can promote awareness of the efficacy and cost-savings of generic drugs among providers and patients.

Attend to learn:
  • How the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) process works and the historical acceptance of generic drugs in the traditional drug space
  • The barriers to increased utilization of generic specialty drugs and effective strategies to overcome them
  • The generic specialty drug pipeline and areas of opportunity to encourage patient and provider adoption
